The statue of the famous Czech poet and great romantic Karel Hynk Mácha is located at the foot of Mostná hora in Litoměřice. It was installed here on November 21, 2010. The author of the work is the sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek. The statue was created by an important Czech artist a hundred years ago on the occasion of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth specifically for Litoměřice. However, because it was very successful, it was decided that it would remain in Prague. Her cast was later to go to Litoměřice. However, this never happened again. The historical wrong was thus rectified only in 2010, after another hundred years, thanks to the efforts of the Salva Guarda civic association, the Kalich Foundation, the city of Litoměřice, but mainly the residents of the city and the poet's admirers.
