The Church of St. Ludmila

Adress: Kapucínské nám?stí

The Capuchin order, which appeared in Litom??ice in 1627, acquired 27 houses here, ravaged during the Thirty Years War. Between the years 1647-48 a Baroque monastery cloister was built on the site of these houses by Jan Koch from Ústí nad Labem, and in 1656 a Baroque church. The main altar, from around 1660, with its picture of St. Ludmila, is the work of Tobias Pocek. The church was restored in 1848. In front of the church there is a statue of St. Jan Nepomucký from some time after 1729. A missionary cross from the year 1840 stands next to it.
